This week, we took part in our regular AMA with our community. In this edition, Rob (Marketing) answered the submitted questions while other team members were occupied in meetings or travelling to Solana HackerHouse in New York.
You may hear in the recap references to this AMA not being recorded, Craig, our Discord robot did fail but one of our incredible Community Champions (ST) recorded the audio and sent it across enabling this blog to be created in the traditional way!

Unfortunately, it’s just me today. That’s because to answer one of the submitted questions, Rupert’s currently on a flight to New York and Martin’s currently in another meeting and everyone else is busy with other work-related matters. So it is just left for me to probably be a bit of a shorter one as well today, because it’s just me, especially now that I know that I’m going to have to prepare a blog without the recording. So that’s fine, it’s fine, I’ll be able to do it.

There will be POAPs, of course. And I’ll just get straight into it! I’ve got the answer to some of the questions I couldn’t answer. And yeah, I’ll just go through the questions each from the page. And then yeah, I’ll have to just do a recap blog to my with typing the answers to your questions. So we’ll start with one, when will the bounty end?

I can answer that. So we have the ambassador programme starting and launching in the next month or so there should be upgrades to the AmuNtion app and the Bounty Overall, these upgrades, these upgrades will mean that, um, your Amupoints become more valuable. And our bounty programme kind of becomes more of a loyalty programme. So it will be all about earning extra with this upgrade. And we’re looking at launching that around July. There’s work that Shin has been doing in the background on there with Martin but there’s going to be huge upgrade. So the bounty won’t necessarily end like a traditional one. We are Amulet, we don’t really do things the traditional way, it’s going to move more into a loyalty programme. And you guys here, the ones that are in the audience, that kind of the ones that I’ve always been with us for the longest amount of time. So you’ll get the most rewards out of it. And the people that joined the bounty in September and then they’ve kind of disappeared since then they won’t get the same benefits that you will get. So the distribution of rewards is a bit different. So I mentioned briefly in the chat, we will be releasing the cash payments, hopefully in the next couple of weeks. We’re just waiting for the budget approval, and then we’ll distribute cash prizes from the AmuNation app in the next month. And then we’ll have another phase of NFT drop this month. Not this month THIS YEAR. Good job. It’s not recorded! Yeah, definitely this year. So I will get that sorted.

The next question is about Rupert’s car. What happened? Well, I found out this morning because I did ask! All it is, there is nothing to worry about it was just expensive because he had a flat tire, and Tesla’s. Tesla’s don’t just allow you to change the tire. So the reason his day became expensive is because his tires were slashed. And you have to call a breakdown recovery for that. So all it was with a flat tire. It wasn’t a crash wasn’t an accident. And his car is all good!

The next question, which is actually the final question, but I’ll answer that now. numerok, asked why? Why Rupert is on his way to New York? So there’s a Hackerhouse this week in New York, which Jimmy will be at and Rupert will be. Because you’re in the AMA, I’ll tell you. It’s more at night, European Time. But daytime in New York, Rupert will be showcasing, showcasing our new product, which will be launched in a couple of weeks, once we’ve had all the auditing and everything through. So the main reason he’s in New York, is to actually showcase the new products that is coming. And I’ll be teasing you about that with my content this week. It’s not going to come this week on Thursday as initially anticipated, because it’s just not ready yet from the product side. But it is coming. And it’s always on the way. And as part of that because we’d hoped initially that the product would be ready tomorrow, Rupert’s plan was always to present and do a demo in New York hacker house. And you’ll also have different meetings over there with various partners, and investors. And so yeah, a lot of new stuff is coming. So Rupert’s just over there we have Jimmy sorting, sorting a few of those details out and is fly is currently in the air as we speak now. He lands in New York in a couple of hours. That’s also why he’s not in the AMA today, but I hope I’m able to answer both of the questions. I have no problem there. And I’ll start getting through the other questions. But I don’t think I can really answer them too well. So one of the questions that was asked was: What tricks can be used when organising and conducting an ICO/IDO?

So I’m not involved in that process at the moment with regards to our own tokenization and what’s going to come of that. So it’s really really difficult for me to answer that specific question, because the last time I was involved in an Ico is now six years ago. So I’ve been involved in two ICOs, and it was a long time ago. So I’m sure situations have changed. You’ve asked about the laws in Singapore, that was all taken into consideration. So we do have a guy on the team who we never talk about, actually, he’s called Joseph. And he’s our lawyer. He’s based in Malaysia. And he’s on top of all that. So before we do a TGE, before we do anything, with regards to the token, Joseph will have gone through all the legal side of things so that everything is done in the best way. Make sure that everything’s done in the right way, which is the most important. So that is really the best way to answer that question. We’ve got a team member called Joseph, we don’t really talk about him too much, just because that’s his main job is in the background that it’s so a lot of the docs that you read through have been have been written by him. Rupert would have been the best person to answer that question with regards to and ICO and an IDO because he’s the one that talks about that probably the most at the moment. But it’s not something that I could really give too much of an insight into. So yeah, I wish I did, I could have told you, I can definitely tell you what happened in 2017. And how it was done. But that was also in a very weird time. Because when I the last ICO I did, within the peak where there was a lot of ICOs with a big hype. In 2016 2017, everyone was doing an ICO, there were a lot of rug pulls, it was a really tough time. And that was also actually when I came to me, the fundraising wasn’t that way the fundraising was done in very much the traditional way. And that also gave me a lot of hope. With regards to the way the industry has gone in the past. So yeah, that’s the best way I can really, really answer that. Everything will be considered or points will be considered a lot of Jimmy and Rupert and Joseph chats as a team when it comes to tokenization. That will happen. So your follow up question is what will happen if you do an IEO instead of an Ico and ICO? I can’t really delve too much deeper into that again, for the same reason, because we will be doing all that work planning and I’m not in those necessary conversations. So we will will will always be open and honest. So when we do two things with regards to tokenization, which could be this year, when we look at TGE. And we look at whatever we do an IDO, ICO and IEO, we will, we will let you all know and the reasons why we’re doing it that way. So I can’t really answer that in June. But I might be able to we might be able to answer that come near September time would be a prediction that’ll probably be the absolute earliest!

Let’s move on to some of the questions that you’ve asked with regards to future products, andone was what is slashing?

So well. In crypto, it’s basically slashing is the process of disciplining or penalising validators who break the crypto staking rule. So it basically it’s a way to slashing is to basically ensure that people are behaving fairly. They adhere to the protocols. And yeah, basically, the slashing assurance would be what would happen if someone does break the staking rules and someone doesn’t really appeal at the market and how can we protect against that? And that’s an answer we don’t know yet which is why there’s no documentation. So part of what Jimmy works off with regards to products and all the stuff that he designs, especially for the tech side as well. There still will be as with NFT cover, they’ll still be working out the fundamentals with slashing cover as well. So I hope that was a good understanding as to what slashing actually is. And slashing cover would just be a way to protect yourselves against the bad players that are manipulating rent staking.

Moving on to explain what cancel cover is going to be. That’s another thing that is planned is something that we hope to launch this year, if I remember correctly in the original roadmap. Canceling covers pretty much how you’ve pretty much said. So you’ve written for example, if I purchase cover for 90 days and on day 45 I changed my mind and wants to cancel the cover and set my soul when I cancelled the cover do I receive some of the money I paid for the couple is that how it works really difficult for me to give you again, the fundamentals and how it will work? Cancel cover would ensure be if you have taken out a policy and you’ve paid the premium and there will be a grace period and I don’t know what that grace period is. Because we’ve not launched the product. In the EU like when you purchase anything. You have a grace period of 14 days for cancelling and we don’t really do that in web3 in general. So this could be really valuable for people who say purchasing cover but it was They accidentally purchased for the wrong Protocol, or they made an error in in their purchase, we will look into something where you can actually counselling and get that money back within a grace period. While that grace period is I don’t know, we’d have to wait until we were able to launch that side of the product. And that’s not the next product. That’s not the next product that’s coming. That would be really boring for you, but to, to showcase in New York, how to cancel the cover. But there’s something that is obviously planned, we’re still looking at other things to launch before that. But cancel covers pretty much what it says I don’t know if it would be as long as say, a 90 day period, and what the what the specifics will be. But we’ll launch that when we do launch cover cancellation. And I think it’s something that in insurance in general, it’s something that’s missing. So that’s the reason we spoke about it from the start because it is some it is something that other insurers don’t necessarily do at the moment. So that’s why we’re looking into bringing getting at some point.

So now the question is with regards to the ambassador programme, so I’ve asked him Martin Pinto Maki, whatever you want to call him. I’ve asked him for an update. So I will give you that update now. So I asked Martin literally what tasks are the ambassadors have, which is kind of what you asked.

So the ambassador, focus so this is Martin’s response. I can’t really do his accent. I can try we will forget No, I can’t do it. We will focus on social media to increase visibility for Amulet protocol within the crypto community. Ambassadors duties will include Twitter actions, promoting our own tweets, creating their own ones and promoting different and new groups comment about amulet protocol within larger accounts to make via telegram groups related to the crypto industry and promote articles on platforms such as Reddit Bitcoin talk, etc. Right now, they’ve not actually mass has not fully finished the complete theme, but it’s almost they’re still looking for an additional one within the Chinese market. But the remaining Ambassadors will get a workplace link tomorrow. And the first actions for this week will come this week. So with regards to the ambassador programme, those tasks, if you are an ambassador, and the person who asked the question is an ambassador so you will get your tasks. It’s looking like this week tomorrow. I’ll say this week, just in case it isn’t tomorrow. As you know, sometimes things can be a little bit delayed.

And yeah, obviously today people are obviously coming in today is a bit of a bad day within the crypto market. But let’s just call it buyer day, if you have any things are dropping today. And I think it’ll be very short term. So it’s very good moment probably to buy. But yeah, so and then the final question that I got here is all to do with that form, that you found an SDK and the set of tools about integrating with Amulet. And whether anyone has filled in that form to integrate with us, they will have done but again, I don’t know specific protocols, because that will go to shed and it will go to but if they were in that if they were in the AMA today, they probably might have well, they wouldn’t have found us we would have given you specific protocols because it’s probably giving you too much information. And if something change, it wouldn’t be right to but we will have had that filled in, it can vary. So that form could be anyone that is wanting to work with amulet. So that could be protocols could fill in that form too. Because they feel that amulet would be the right company to protect their assets, and they want to be listed on amulet. And that will the reason that would go to them shin or Rupert is because the next stage would be to have a conversation and to go through the risk assessment process that we do to ensure that they can be listed or not. So there will have been companies that I filled that form in, but it would have been unable to. I just got confused them if the message that came through, there will be people that are filled in that form men, but they wouldn’t be able to go any further but will integrate with amulet because they would fail the risk assessment or it wouldn’t be off the standard that they’re required. Going into the other stuff that you’ve mentioned. It could be integrations with other things as well. So we could look at potentially. Say if we protect the protocol, we could look at integrating ambulate within their protocol so that say One day when they purchase cover sale matinee, for example, maybe one day when they’re purchasing msol we could integrate a pop up that would automatically offer the insurance with amulet at the same time as you purchasing. So these are the type of functionalities that integrations can offer So have and how far these integrations can go. But I don’t know, I can’t give you how many people filled in that form because it would be a shame if we put that get that directly and mark it to I haven’t mentioned before who’s in operations, he will be the person who starts that initial conversation as a kind of gateway to ensure that the people that are coming through are going to be relevant before they actually have the important conversations with Shin Jimmy and Rupert. So hope that definitely answers those questions. So yeah, I mean, I’ve gone through them, because it’s just me, it’s a bit easier to go through them in a quicker time.

Because I can’t record today’s AMA, I will answer all those questions again, tomorrow in a very quick recap blog. Where I type out the answers vary in note form. I noticed today the museum Craig isn’t working is because of my permissions. Because when I decided to to scam you all last week, there wasn’t me.
