The team sat down with the AmuNation for one of our regular AMA sessions. Well attended, considering a lot of our community are currently on their vacations, the Amulet team discussed some of the exciting things to come in the next weeks and months.
One of the announcements during the AMA was Rupert’s transition to an advisor role within the project. His wealth of experience and industry knowledge will continue to guide us towards success. Additionally, the team unveiled thrilling plans for upcoming products, further fueling excitement among the AmuNation.

That’s absolutely fine. Well, hi, everybody. Good afternoon. Um, I hope that this isn’t the last AMA that I’m I’m on, but I certainly won’t be on them is as regularly as I was, even though it wasn’t on all of them. So apologies for that. Anyway. But yeah, so the announcement last week, you saw I put it into two general channel is that I am stepping back from the day to day operations of Amulet. And really, I mean, the, the there’s no other very good reason other than the fact that Shin and Jimmy are, are despite the fact that Jimmy can’t get on to discord at this time are more than capable to operate the protocol going forward. And I’m going to be looking at doing some other stuff. So I am still here very much as an advisor. I still have a strong bond to the project and and the product. And I definitely that that part of it is definitely not going away. Let’s put it that way. We’re not we’re not stopping the protocol or anything like that. We’re definitely still doing a TG and all these other good things. I mean, you’ve seen even after I made the announcement, we dropped our new vaults product last week, which has gone down a treat, I certainly have deposited some cash into that I hope you guys have to. And yeah, so it really it’s it’s a bit of a an operational change on the on the day to day of the business. And, yeah, I’ll pass it over to Shin to talk about how that looks to you or what’s coming. I might be dropping you in it. She and I we haven’t planned this.

I would say the reason the reason I wanted to get to you Shin, is basically because the follow up question is, what’s it will there be a new CEO? What’s replacing? Yeah, who’s gonna replace Rupert? So I feel if you spoke now, that would be a good time to kind of cover those questions.

Right. So I guess just a quick note to you, Jimmy is here now, we need to invite me on stage.

Right. And yeah, thanks, Rupert. So I know it might be a sudden news to most of the like community members here. But yeah, thanks for I mean, we have been working close with each other for like since the start of the protocol, and things change but that’s from our ends, I guess for at least from our side. We have been able to consolidate the roadmap and I guess going forward, there will be a lot of like interesting news release in the near future for we probably probably going to do a quick release, like for every two weeks. So you’ll be able to see against maybe a sneak preview or like maybe, for you guys is the loyalty programme and referral programme that we are going to announce into the next month. And there’ll be more like, we are probably going to, we are going to do development on to EVM. So that’s for sure. I can tell you. And but I mean, what are we going to build? Whether it be like any new model, whether it be the same like model we operating emulator on so Nana, they will, you will be I mean, there are more details we probably won’t be announced tonight, but definitely will be coming up in the announcement. But just keep following us and following the articles published by Robin, stay in the community and then you will get the latest news from us. Awesome, great.

Now we just gave a little preview of that, a little lowdown sorry, not a preview, a lowdown of what has changed, evolved to advise the world and then shins just talked a little bit about going forward. So just gonna say hi, as you’re on stage as well. And I’ll go to what’s actually on the AMA questions list. Somebody had to tear based on what we had to teach me some will be adding to creation. Um, yeah, we’ll go from there. So you mentioned that? Well, one of the questions was, you’ve just kind of answered there yourself, Shin because you talked about a roadmap. So as you know that it’s currently being worked upon in Riyadh in the background, I’ll announce that in the coming weeks when it’s ready. So the roadmap will be coming. The question that does come up a lot. And I know we kind of mentioned it a little bit. But will people want to know, will anyone regroup and move into an advisory role? Will anyone be coming in? Or will things pretty much stay the same? So I don’t know whether Jimmy, you want to cover that at all?
Jimmy – Amulet
Yep. And I think rubric can probably talk a little bit about his involvement himself, and what he wants to do. Once he’s reached greener pastures, but yeah, I think Reapered is definitely going to stay on as an advisor, still listening in providing advice to the team, project, and overall, like vision going forward?

Yeah, well, yeah. 100% sorry, Jimmy, I did I covered that off I think before you were on the here, but yeah, no, I’m I’m I’m still here. Is that as an advisor? Are we hiring a new CEO? The answer is no, not at this moment in time. We, we don’t think that the the protocol requires it. But that can change. And there may be stuff that comes out further down the line. That will make a little bit more sense about that as well. There are some things that we can’t talk around in the back end either hate to be secretive, but it’s all good stuff. And, yeah, we’ve got you know, it’s still a very, very positive feature for us in the protocol.

We’ve actually got, I’ve got you, we’ve got a question that is specifically for you. While while you stepped back from the day to day basis, people are interested whether you’re gonna stay within Web three as well, when you do other things on a day to day basis, or do you not quite know yet?
Rupert – Amulet
I’m wondering whether or not I go into the pencil sharpener business. I think that pencil sharpeners, there’s a really big opportunity to do like an AI enabled pencil sharpener for like, perfectly sharpening your pencils. That would that was my What do you think is a good business idea or a bad business idea?
Rob – Amulet
yeah, that or skirting board ladders are quite popular at the moment.
Rupert – Amulet
Skirting board ladders. Yeah, I mean, anything that can organise your knife and fork draw quicker than you could that would be, that’d be the most useful thing. Am I going to stay in web3 or am I gonna go? Actually, it’s a very good question. And I have one of which I’ve been asking myself a lot of last few weeks. I don’t have anywhere to go right now. I’m all I’m all alone. No, I I probably will say in web three. That’s the most the highest likelihood. I love web three. I love everything in crypto. I love how we’re challenging the status quo, normal finance and financial instruments and the finance industry in itself. And it’s where a lot of my friends are so I don’t think I will will end up going outside the way Three industry. That being said, I’ve got lots of other interests. And I’ve been DJing a lot more now. So I, maybe you’ll just see me on a festival stage somewhere as a professional DJ, or maybe you’ll just see me in another web three role

At the same time, at the same time, I will, I will always I will, I will always, yeah, do DJing as as a separate as a separate thing right now.

Awesome are going back to some of the questions that were about Amulets, next couple of months. I know, as Shin and Jim just briefly touched on that a referral programme is coming. I see that and that we’re going to have a product base, and we’re going to look at going on an EVM chain, to be able to enable us to launch as many products as possible for the end of the year. One of the questions I’m going to put it to you, Jimmy, I think would probably be best is, is our goal still to look at doing a TGE and tokenomics, this year?
Jimmy – Amulet
Late this year, is the still the ultimate plan as part of that. So she just talked about like the loyalty programme. We don’t have too many details that we can release at this point, but just know that we are starting to track that on chain activity a lot closer now in preparation. So you know, I think it’s the, it’s, it’s pretty obvious what it is going to be, but you know, purchase cover, stake assets. And, you know, those are the activities that will drive the growth of the protocol and anything that drives the growth of the protocol will be you know, where we we allocate the, those tokens towards. So those activities will be will be tracked closely. And I think for for TGE itself. Yeah, like I said, later later this year, so no, no real changes to the plans, but I guess good, good confirmation for most folks who have been following along.

Awesome, thanks to that. We got a couple of questions as well, which outtake because it’s really about what’s going to happen with AmuNation. So will the contest still be continuing?.. We’ve got a thing that’s coming, and it’s coming within the next couple of weeks. So we’ll release more information on that. The one thing I will say is, it’s it’s still good news, although swifting away from like a monthly competition, and marketing activity, or your points that you’ve earned from all the hard work that you’ve done over the last year, and a bit that will still be switched over to the personal dashboard that will release in the coming weeks. So the competition as it is right now will change, but nothing will change with a sense from what you’ve already earned, it will still get rolled over and just look out in the next couple of weeks, because we’ll give you more announcements and more details on that. And that kind of covers some of the questions people asked about tasks. And there’s one question, I think even Well, I think Jim is going to come back to you again. It’s quite a long question. But in essence, what the actual question is, is regarding volts by the end of TNT Vaults, so obviously, it has to do with stablecoin depegging. And they want to know what would happen if at the moment we were obviously only doing it for USDC and USDT. So what would happen if tomorrow USDC hacked USDT hacked and SoL went massively under? Basically, what would happen where our funds stored, what would happen if rich asset serves as our primary holding? So basically, he knows this event is extremely unlikely, but just want to know, what would be the case if something like that was to happen?

Yep. So first off, I think it’s important to remember that the the vaults themselves are they’re not storing any soul inside of it. So I think the sole part of the question is irrelevant for this case. And then in terms of the depeg of the assets itself, so when you’re purchasing coverage for like, USDC, you think USDC is going to depeg, you pay in USDT, right? Because it only makes sense for you to get, you know, quote unquote, rewards when those rewards are denominated in USDT Um, so when that USDC, depegs, you get paid in USDT, and it’s a set amount of USDT. So it doesn’t matter if USDT depegs, you’ll actually end up getting USDT. And that is a guess in part, the risk that you’re taking on, you’re basically saying USDT is safer than USDC, right? But none of that risk actually sits with amulet protocol itself, right? So we’re not, we’re not going to be impacted by the depegging event. That’s the whole point of putting it inside of a vault. It’s to, basically for us to create a platform where users can secure coverage for stable coin D peg, but without having to impact the end users, right, or sorry, not the end users. But like the users who have staked funds inside of our inside of our protocol, we’re trying to create the best experience here for for users. So yeah, hopefully, hopefully, that answers the question and clarifies like a little bit more about what the vaults are intended for.

there, you’re gonna say something else that it’s just because I had I had?

Yeah, I think there was like a, I’m reading the question, there’s kind of like a part two to it. So if that scenario were to occur, or occur, how would you ensure the protection of your users if you’re unable to safeguard your own assets? So basically, you know, from from my answer, what I’m saying is that users of amulet protocol would, or stakers inside of Amulet protocol would not be impacted here.

So I have a couple of other questions, which really go back to me before I will see even, we never know. You never know someone might talk in the audience, you never know. So a couple of questions we’ve got with regards to ambassadors receiving a and AMT and rewards pending, this is something that me and Martin will work very closely together in the next week and a half. And we’re gonna get all that streamlined and fixed and make sure that the rewards are out. But as mentioned, some people asking about things that are pending that are not are still pending for absolutely everyone. We did an announcement maybe about four, four, maybe five weeks ago about when to expect them which was at the latter end of this year. But I’ll work with Martin and see what when when is feasible and obviously machine as well, to release those elements of the wards obviously, we can’t do anything in AMT until a TGE is done. And with regards to the benefits of the NFT I know you’re a new user David so I will send you directly a blog post. But if you have a meta back straightaway, you can use it today to get a discount on your premiums when you purchase cover.
