On the 9th of August 2022, our Marketing Lead, Rob, took part in an AMA with the CryptoClash community. An extraordinary community who have already made strands in growing our Twitter, we sat down to answer all their questions and to introduce Amulet to a new set of web3 enthusiasts.

Of course, So I’m Rob, I’m not anonymous but as you can see, I use Overcryptocol as my “crypto identity”. I am the Marketing Lead at Amulet Protocol, simple, reliable cover for everyone in web3 and I’ve been in this industry for half a decade. I have a lot of experience in both web2 and web3 and I’ve worked on some exciting projects. I left the Web3 industry due to my worries within it. I wasn’t going to rejoin until i had the confidence that there was a project that is going to benefit everyone while also being the catalyst to mass adoption. As a result, I’m now at Amulet Protocol and I love it ๐ It’s very challenging and we’ve been through a lot in the short amount of time that we’ve been around and i’m extremely excited for the future and the challenges ahead

First Question From My Side
Could you describe us about your project ‘Amulet Protocol’ . What is your project about and how can we see it in action?

Iโd love to! Amulet Protocol has arrived following the DeFi boom of 2020. We saw the growth and were impressed but we had one major concern. TVL is so high yet only 2% is covered by a form of protection. We sat back on watched similar companies enter the industry with the same values as ourselves. We waited. Unlike others, we wanted to do protect users but be more unique. We were watching the growth of Solana and comparing it to that of Ethereum. The potential was extraordinary so we decided to BUIDL the first protocol of this kind for Rust-based ecosystems. We will offer Stablecoin depeg and smart contract vulnerability cover when we launch at the end of September and we hope this provides that additional layer of security for those holding specific digital assets.

We literally are motivated by our shared passion for deterring hacks and fraud. We believe a project like ours will help combat the issue our industry faces. Weโre the first cover protocol on Solana and weโve also been backed by Solana Ventures. Right now, we donโt have direct competition on Rust-based ecosystems but we do have competitors within the industry. We actually have a close bond with several of these competitors as we all share similar values and missions. We want to be the leading protocol by this time next year.

Section 7 in our Litepaper is the best place to go for this (https://files.amulet.org/public/AmuletLitepaper.pdf). We launch on the main net in September and we won’t be launching a token before then. See this space but It’s best I don’t go further until everything is fully finalised

Our official roadmap should be released at the end of this week but it could be beginning of next. That will be released on Twitter and Discord (twitter.com/AmuletProtocol), We announced our project in Amsterdam on April 20th, following that we announced our raise of $6m. Our testnet is due to launch in August and main net at the end of September. We also have an exciting community incentive program coming on our Discord (discord.gg/AmuletProtocol)

Q1) Regulation is very important. Several projects in many countries were closed due to a lack of necessary licensing. How does @AmuletProtocol deal with this problem? Are you working on a project that complies with regulations?

I love this question! Thanks for sending it. We, right now, are compliant and we will be launching without restrictions. We are aware that regulations are regularly changing and I have some legal study background so I always follow everything with a fine comb. We will adapt depending on situations that occur. Right now, we’re not worried about any regulations and we’re complying with all. We’re still able to launch globally and we’re prepared. We have 8 language channels already including Russian, Spanish, Chinese and Korean.

Indeed, when we were watching the growth of DeFi. We were analysing the growth of Solana. Our analysis compared to Ethereum unleashed a new element of potential. Rapid growth and potential we can’t fully put a finger on. Lower gas fees and faster transactions has also contributed to this. We actually plan on being completely multi-chain, by Q1 of next year we won’t just be Solana based. Solana is the start and the potential for Amulet to be a complete cross-chain solution is more than a reality.
