Today (April 20th), marks a special moment for Amulet Protocol, one whole year since we announced our Web3 cover solution to the world.
While attending DevCon in Amsterdam, still in the midst of a DeFi boom, Rupert (Project Lead), Jimmy (BD and Product) and Rob (Marketing) attended an incredible side event from our frens Hacken to take to the platform and announce Amulet to some of the biggest names within the industry. Shin (Tech) was unable to attend due to covid restrictions in place at the time.
What a 12 months it’s been! Despite major crises within our industry (Terra and FTX collapses), Amulet has continued to strive and grow. Entirely during a bear market, Amulet has achieved some remarkable feats during this time.
We’ve created a 12 month review blog to highlight major achievements over the last 365 days.
April 2022:
Previous to April 20th, the Amulet team had worked tirelessly to get to the date for launch. It all started with this tweet:
This then followed with:
- Launching our Discord server (our main communication hub)
- Launching our TG announcement channel
- PR campaign regarding project announcement
- Our raise news of $6m seed funding and PR campaign around this
- Conducted our first-ever AMA on Discord which has been every 2 weeks ever-since!
May 2022:
May was an important month for Amulet and our industry. Luna/Terra collapse and the UST depeg situation sent shockwaves across the entire web3 ecosystem. Despite this, it gave Amulet an opportunity to stand out amongst other risk protection protocols by allowing us to highlight how our PCR (Protocol Controlled Reserves) approach would be instrumental to our future success.
May highlights:
- PR campaign regarding seed funding ongoing
- DeFi insurance Twitter Space with Bright Union, Nexus Mutual, InsurAce and Ease to discuss UST depeg situation
- Rupert appeared on Bloomberg to discuss Amulets launch
- AmuNation name given to our community and memes and GIFs started flooding in!
- Launch of new language channels onto our Discord server
- Hit our first 1k Twitter follower milestone on Twitter.
June 2022:
June was focused on increasing visibility for Amulet and introducing our solution to more crypto enthusiasts. We attended events and worked extremely hard to get ready for a quick TestNet and MainNet launch.

- Attended multiple events including Dcentral, Consensus and Hackerhouses (Solana).
- Added onto various web3 and tech lists/directories including Crunchbase and CryptoRank
- Started external AMAs starting with CryptoDiffer
- Hosted a side event at Consensus with Hacken, Okra Finance and others
- Launched our first AmuNation community survey
- Announced our first partnership with Francium
July 2022:
It was around this time that we announced our initial intentions to launch on MainNet in September. Away from product and tech, we worked hard to continue building and growing the community. We also started our plans for introducing the AmuNation app – a fun, gamified way to interact and engage with Amulet.
July highlights:
- Launched our first ever Social Media report which has been published monthly (with growth!) each month since.
- Confirmed our second partnership with Port Finance
- Introduced first SEO-focused blog post regarding DeFi cover
- Published the first of our many bi-weekly reports!
- SundayShare increased to 4 posts due to mass engagement on Discord.
- Announced our partnership with Tulip Protocol
- 3 external AMAs to increase our visibility including in Spanish
- Confirmed partnership with DeltaOne
- Implemented ticket system into our Discord for ease-of-contact with team.
August 2022:
August was a momentous month for Amulet. With only weeks until our anticipated MainNet launch, we were able to continue increasing our marketing activity while also introducing the AmuNation app and finalising our TestNet launch.
August highlights:
- Introduced community events including our first-ever Poker tournament (now monthly and the biggest in web3!)
- Martin (PintoPelado) joined the team after meeting Rupert at HackerHouse to be our Community Manager.
- Introduced our first-ever Roadmap to the public
- PR campaign for our roadmap
- AmuNation app introduced with a record implementation and growth
September 2022:
September saw an enormous growth within our community, particularly aided by the launch of the AmuNation app in August. We also managed to get TestNet live in time and the AmuNation were incredible with their testing and feedback. We also revealed our NFT rewards with utility and continued to develop our MetaBear behind the scenes.
At the end of September, we were able to launch Amulet onto the MainNet and went LIVE! This was that special moment:
September highlights:
- AmuNation app saw insane growth, more than the developers had seen with any project before!
- TestNet launched and 3 weeks of testing from our users
- Confirmed partnership with Kudelski Security
- Published our audit from Kudelski Security
- Attended Singapore Token2049
- Held an exclusive event for our investors and partners at Token2049 to celebrate our MainNet launch
- Launched onto the MainNet!
- MainNet PR Campaign
- Sponsored Caitlin Jenner Racing car at Singapore Grand Prix
- Sent out our first-ever newsletter
October 2022:
October was a great month for Amulet and we launched at a 5x higher growth rate than our competitors. Our community continued to grow and users were purchasing cover and staking $amtSOL and $aUWT faster than we had initially anticipated.
October highlights:
- AmuNation worked hard creating educational content to use our MainNet
- First claims came through – although they were just users testing the platform, it ensured we were able to work our claims process with those users.
- First of our Amulet themed events with Halloween (updated our Twitter etc)
- Continued solid growth on social media
- $amtSOL listed on CoinGecko
- Amulet assets tracked on DeFi Llama
- Hosted a retreat at DevCon Bogota
November 2022:
November started as beautifully as October and we attended Solana Breakpoint as a team. Then, FTX collapsed and we had to pause sales and take a step back while we let the initial reaction settle. We still continued community events and marketing activity regardless.
November highlights:
- Took over Solana Breakpoint with our Amulet tent
- Rainbow Starfighter (the Amulet Tesla) stole the show in Portugal
- Created our Linktree account as our socials grew
- Community-run TikTok included
- Our first MetaBear NFT airdrop to early contributors
- Hosted a special AMA after FTX collapse to commit to riding with Solana
- Amulet introduced the MonkeDao community
- Introduced our CIS-language activities too
- $amtSOL whirlpools available on Orca
- AmuNation community survey to a much larger audience
December 2022:
December allowed us to get back on track (even in the holiday season) and we were able to resume sales and think about 2023. We also integrated the utility of our MetaBear NFTs and made them premium discount LIVE on the MainNet for all HODLers.

January 2023:
Amulet entered the new year with a bang. Ready to conquer the industry as our industry prepared to get back on-track. We continued to grow from a community perspective and sales and staking started to resume to pre-FTX collapse levels.
January highlights:
- Introduced an updated roadmap for 2023
- Upgraded the AmuNation App and tiers to ensure fairness for our community
- Implemented monthly newsletters as per roadmap
- Introduced education and staking into our AmuNation events
- Lots of work behind the scenes to improve experience for our users
February 2023:
Despite being the shortest month of the year, Amulet continued to achieve milestones in February. We managed to hit another social media KPI while also making further changes to AmuNation to make it more attractive for users to earn their MetaBears.
February highlights:
- Amulet lists Kamino Finance (partnership)
- Cross-AMA with Kamino (Twitter Space)
- Cross-AMA with NeonLabs
- Promoted our smart contract cover on Deus EX DAO
- Updated our smart contract wording to improve clarity over terminology
- Introduced POAPs into our reward system for those attending our bi-weekly AMAs
- Hit 45k followers on Twitter
March 2023:
March was a record month for revenue, TVL and cover sales for Amulet. Ending the 12 months on a real-high!
We streamlined our operations process and this enabled us to list more protocols to protect on Amulet. Giving the team and our users confidence of just how huge Amulet could have been had the 2 major crises not affected the entire blockchain industry.
March highlights:
- Increase in SEO blogs
- Listing of JPoolOne (partnership)
- Listing of Marinade Finance (partnership)
- Listing of Drift (partnership)
- Finalising details to ensure we could open up ambassador program applications
- Introduced Telegram events notification channel
- Sold 1000 covers!
- Took part in Solarplex grizzlython
These are only a few of the multiple achievements that we’ve achieved in our first 12 months. We wouldn’t have the manpower to list absolutely everything!
April 2023 has also started brightly despite the holiday period. Listing Lido (Solana) on our MainNet as a new partner, launching new socials and placing 3rd in leaderboard on Solaplex to name just 3!
